Systems Strategist & Visual Designer
Operational Efficiency & Agile Adoption
Canva, Google Workspace, Behavioral Research
I designed a high-impact visual job aid to transition traditional instructional design teams from linear "Waterfall" models to the LLAMA (Lot Like Agile Management Approach) framework. By distilling complex iterative principles into an actionable infographic, I created a standard operating procedure that helps teams reduce "waste," increase stakeholder alignment, and accelerate speed-to-market.
The Problem
Many legacy instructional design teams rely on the ADDIE model, which can be rigid and slow.
Friction: Traditional linear production often leads to "late-stage discovery" of errors, resulting in massive rework and missed deadlines.
Technical Gap: While software teams use Agile/Scrum, content teams often speak a different "methodological language," causing friction in cross-functional collaboration.
Performance Gap: Without a shared iterative framework, stakeholders struggle to provide feedback early enough in the lifecycle to matter.
The Solution
I proposed a strategic infographic and downloadable job aid that serves as a Methodological Bridge. The solution focuses on:
Iterative Cycles: Visualizing the "Sprint" nature of LLAMA to encourage early prototyping.
Information Scaffolding: Distilling the "Definition, Steps, and Benefits" into a single, high-retention graphic.
Operational Alignment: Providing a common vocabulary for Instructional Designers and Product Managers to collaborate within the same Agile rhythm.
1. Research & Content Strategy
LLAMA is a framework I personally utilize to maintain high velocity in EdTech product launches. My research involved identifying the High-Impact Principles of Agile that most directly solve the "bottlenecks" in content production. I treated the methodology as a Product Feature, asking: "How can I make this framework easy for a non-Agile designer to adopt tomorrow?"
2. Wireframing & Information Architecture
I began with a low-fidelity wireframe to map the Hierarchical Flow. In complex infographics, "Eye Tracking" is critical. I designed the layout to move the user through the "Why" (Definition), the "How" (Steps), and the "Outcome" (Benefits) in a logical, descending sequence.
3. Visual Design & Brand Integrity
Using Canva, I developed a visual aesthetic that is clean, professional, and "human-centered."
Iconography: I used consistent, minimalist icons to represent each step, reducing cognitive load and allowing for "at-a-glance" comprehension
Strategic Bolding: I used typography to create a clear visual hierarchy, ensuring that the most critical "Action Items" were prominent.
4. The Technical Asset (The Job Aid)
Beyond the infographic, I developed a Downloadable Job Aid. This is a functional "Worksheet" that teams can use during project kickoff meetings to define their iterative milestones, moving the project from "passive information" to "active implementation."

The best systems are those that are easily communicated. By taking a complex project management theory and turning it into a beautiful, functional asset, I lowered the barrier to entry for Agile adoption.
Next Strategic Move: My next iteration for this framework involves creating a Jira Template that maps directly to the LLAMA steps. This would provide the technical infrastructure to match the visual theory, allowing teams to track "velocity" and "sprint health" in real-time.
